Lunch that isn’t the same tray again.
Ideas for offices that order more than once. All of it is something we’ve built before, here so you can point at a thing and say that, but for Thursdays.
The problem with catered lunch is rarely the food. It’s that by the fourth month everyone can predict it. Everything below is designed around that: a rotation that moves with the season, and formats that don’t look like a deli tray.
Individually boxed, not a buffet line
Everyone gets their own. No one hovers over a communal tray, nothing needs serving, and the ones who step out of the meeting late still get lunch. It travels to a conference room, a job site, or a client presentation without a chafing dish anywhere in sight.
Buffet service is available when the room suits it. Most offices end up preferring the boxes.
A menu that moves with the year
Spring
Lemon herb chicken with spring vegetable orzo. Chicken salad croissants. Strawberry spinach salad. Tomato basil soup and lemon bars.
Summer
Green chile season, and we lean all the way in. Roasted green chile chicken bowls, Southwest turkey wraps, mini elote cups, peach caprese salad, summer corn salad.
Fall
Apple harvest chicken salad. Butternut squash soup. Turkey cranberry wraps. Roasted turkey and havarti. Pumpkin bars, and a full Thanksgiving box in November.
Winter
Comfort with a lighter touch. Holiday chicken with rosemary potatoes, winter citrus salad, Tuscan chicken, roasted vegetable soup.
Five ways to box it
Pick one as your standing order, or rotate them so the office never quite knows which is coming. Every box has a vegetarian version.
-
The Executive Graze
The grazing idea, shrunk to one person. A sandwich alongside artisan cheese, cured meat, fruit, crackers and something sweet. The one to send when the meeting matters.
-
The Mediterranean
Hummus and pita, a chicken shawarma or falafel wrap, cucumber tomato salad, and a honey yogurt parfait with berries.
-
The Protein
Grilled chicken, lemon herb quinoa salad, vegetables, fresh fruit, hard-boiled egg. For the office where half the team is training for something.
-
The Southwest
A wrap with a mini elote cup, salsa and tortilla chips, and churro bites. The one out-of-town clients remember.
-
The Garden
Vegetarian all the way through: a loaded wrap, quinoa salad, fresh fruit, and vegetables with ranch. Not the afterthought box.
Or skip lunch entirely
Individual graze boxes work for the things that aren’t a meal: a board meeting, a client thank-you, a closing, an afternoon that ran long. Cheese, cured meat, fruit, crackers and something sweet, built one to a box.
They also handle holiday gifting, which is worth thinking about well before December.
What it costs depends on how you order
There’s no per-head figure on this page on purpose. A standing weekly order, a monthly rotation and a one-off client lunch are genuinely different arrangements, and Michelle would rather build yours around your cadence, headcount and delivery window than have you back into a number that was never meant for your situation.
Tell us how often and roughly how many. That conversation takes about ten minutes and it’s the whole thing.
